Google Duo now lets you send notes and doodles to your contacts
Reports of Duo’s loss of life have been vastly exaggerated. The app has continued to obtain new options and enhancements over the previous 12 months, and seemingly now not requires a telephone quantity. Now there is a new characteristic you can check out: drawing notes.
“We’re introducing this feature as we got feedback from users that they’re looking for a more visual way to connect with their friends when one of them may be unavailable to get on a video call,” Google stated. “They’d like to send a brief one-off note within Duo, whether that be ‘hey, let’s talk today!’, or ‘sending one last good night!’.”
The new characteristic mirrors the annotation options in Google Keep, with a number of pen stroke sorts, eight background colours, and six fonts. Just like calls, the notes are end-to-end encrypted.
Notes are rolling out beginning at present, and they need to seem for everybody by the top of the week.
