Is Swap Space being cleared automatically? If yes at which step? : linux

Is Swap Space being cleared robotically? If yes at which step? : linux

Hi Folks,

that is most likely a quiet primary query, however I’m presently not sure about it.

When pages which had been swapped out to swap area, are being swapped again in as a result of they’re wanted in RAM, are the pages cleared from the swap area?
Or will we now have the data twice, as soon as in swap area and as soon as in RAM?

Another query,
When a course of which has pages associated to it presently residing on swap area, is usually terminated,
does the pages in swap area get cleaned/cleared or does the data reside in swap area till it will get overwritten?

Appreciating any infos!
Thanks loads upfront!!
