Multitasking on iPad should borrow from Mac, not reinvent the wheel : apple
Ah sure, this argument once more…
“If I wanted to write text, I’d use a Mac, the iPad needs no keyboard”
“If I wanted to sort files I’d use a Mac, no need to have a file manager”
“If I wanted to connect to external hardware I’d use a Mac. Or just use the iCloud lol”
“If I wanted to do Excel I’d use a Mac, no need for mouse support”
I believe the “just use a Mac” argument significantly hurts the iPads viability as a “laptop replacement”, and not only for tech-savvy individuals who will not personal a tool that they cannot code on.
If the iPad wants a “real” pc each time you should do only a bit greater than browse Facebook, it should by no means be greater than a companion that rests on the sofa able to distract the children. It will not discover its means right into a backpack, as a result of for all its value, you want a Mac or a PC anyway, and the iPad, whereas mild, is simply useless weight.
However, I do agree that the multitasking should in all probability not be inherited from macOS, as a result of, frankly, macOS is horrible at it.
