OpenRGB 0.1 – A new way to control your RGB devices : linux

This is a new challenge I have been engaged on over the previous 12 months or so. It began as an try to reverse engineer Asus Aura after which I made a decision to work on a common objective RGB control API and person interface.

The objective right here is to control RGB devices with none official software program. No Synapse, no Aura, no iCue, no nothing. That way it’s cross platform and may work with Windows and Linux alike. On Linux, there are some stuff you want to arrange to acquire person entry to all your drivers.

  1. SMBus kernel patch (for Aura/ASRock motherboard RGB)

2. Udev guidelines for i2c-dev and USB devices:

three. Follow the README for constructing and working:

four. For Razer machine assist, set up the OpenRazer kernel drivers (openrazer-dkms-drivers on Debian/Ubuntu I consider)

The person interface is pretty primary nonetheless, no graphical choice for LEDs, however all the essential performance of RGB control is carried out.
