Seems that NVIDIA silently axed their GTC talk about Nouveau : linux
Update: This sounds prefer it could possibly be why: https://www.anandtech.com/show/15602/nvidia-axes-gtc-digital-keynote-in-favor-of-news-releases
A number of months in the past, Phoronix reported that an NVIDIA engineer would have having a talk about Nouveau at their GTC convention, “including signed firmware behavior, documentation, and patches; and NVIDIA kernel drivers”. Following the hyperlink now reveals no talks, and I can not discover any talks by John Hubbard.
Very unlucky certainly if it’s the case that they’re cancelling the talk. It would have been nice to listen to what plans they’ve relating to Nouveau, particularly seeing as this mentions one of many larger, if not the best, situation there at the moment is with reference to Linux’ open NVIDIA driver: signed firmware dealing with.
Hoping no matter that they had plans for nonetheless will occur.
