Thailand’s AIS wins 23 spectrum licenses for 5G, True bags 17: regulator

BANGKOK (Reuters) – Thailand’s Advanced Info Service Pcl (ADVANC.BK) gained 23 spectrum licenses for 5G in auctions on Sunday, whereas True Pcl (TRUE.BK) gained 17, the nation’s telecoms regulator stated.
Thailand’s telecoms regulator raised over 100 billion baht ($three.21 billion) for 48 licenses for 5G providers on Sunday, forward of an anticipated industrial rollout later this 12 months.
Total Access Communication Pcl, or DTAC (DTAC.BK), gained two licenses.
Two state-run operators, CAT Telecom and TOT, gained two and 4 licenses, respectively.
