The Sun in January
This morning, mid-January, sandwiched between the previous few days of fog and wet gloom and future days of chilly and snowy combine, the solar did this. I’d been having the flu, not getting 5 toes away from the sofa, and the solar was so beautiful I walked out on the porch and stood in it. I swear it’s like, the Lord carry up the sunshine of his countenance upon you and offer you peace. I’m not even spiritual.
Sunlight has beneficent results on all types of illnesses and hoo boy, on all types of depressions and problems of temper. But we already knew all that, didn’t we, we simply hadn’t completed the science. When there’s a puddle of January daylight in the nook of a room, even the canine is aware of to go lie down in it.
You can’t see in that image a element, a tiny glory, so right here’s the closeup.
Honest to goodness, snowdrops, little drops of snow, solely flowers. This was the primary I’d seen them. I needed to bend over to see them, then kneel right down to see them higher, then realized I would as nicely be praying. Spring’s not coming any time quickly however January simply grew to become extra bearable.
I took the images, didn’t I. Maybe in the future I’ll get an excellent digicam or at the very least a greater cellular phone.
