What is your address change policy after the order has shipped? : ecommerce
What do you do at your ecommerce retailer for purchasers that request address adjustments after their order has shipped?
I ship 99%+ of my merchandise through UPS or UPS SurePost. Occasionally, clients will request, after the product ships, to change the delivery address.
UPS costs a $17 charge for altering the address for a cargo, way over the preliminary cargo prices! In the previous, I have been beneficiant to clients and ate this charge, however I am rising increasingly more irritated in doing this without spending a dime. UPS does permit a change of address after supply, or a maintain to a UPS Access Point, and different carriers could do one thing related.
So, do you do address adjustments without spending a dime after cargo for purchasers? Or do you will have a script to answer to clients who request an address change after cargo?
